The Insight Innovation eXchange has announced the full list of speakers for the February Innovation in Market Research Conference in Amsterdam. I’ll be sharing the stage with some powered industry leaders! I hope to catch as many presentations as I can but there a few that have particular interest to me.

Must See Presentations

Cultural Impacts

Cross-cultural communications is high on my professional study agenda so the session “Locally Irrational: Understanding the Impact of Culture on Consumer Decision-Making” by Elina Halonen and Leigh Caldwell of The Irrational Agency is one I really want catch.

I’ll be attending the Mobile Technology hands-on workshop which runs pre-conference, so anything else I can learn about mobile research is a bonus.

John Perls of JoopLoop and Robert Passikoff of Brand Keys are jointly presenting on “Mobile Engagement + Mobile Research = Increased Insights” and Diana Lucaci from True Impact Marketing is speaking on “Driving Conversion on Mobile: A Neuroscience Perspective“.

More Neuroscience

This is an area where I’d really like to gain more knowledge. A session titled “Written All Over Your Face: How facial expressions unearth emotional insights for clients” promises to do just that with real life examples and case studies. It is being jointly presented by Rana El Kaliouby of Affectiva, Chris Haskins from Kellogg’s and Sarah Walker of Millward Brown.

Gamifying research is sometimes done well but more often done poorly. Betty Adamou of Research Through Gaming is presenting on “TESSA Undercover Agents and Dubious: A paradigm shift in the use of Games for Research”  while Joe Marks and Amber Brown, both of Upfront Analytics head up a session on “Gathering Consumer Data via Truly Engaging Games”

a shift from a mind-boggling, number-heavy report format to an essential, well-honed and visual format where clear conclusions, infographics and impactful visuals become the carriers of the story

Who can resist a promise like that? Carola Vershcoor of groh! innovation and Thimon de Jong of Trendsactive are speaking on “Re-Search Integration: Enhancing Research Usability Through Strategic Creativity & Design

Following on from AMSRS 2013

At AMSRS 2013 in Sydney Annelies Verhaeghe, Head of research and innovation at InSites Consulting was a Keynote Speaker talking on “Cooking with communities, creative research for meaningful insights“. As a community manager that gave me some valuable input, so I’m keen to attend the sessions by Tom De Ruyck and Kristof De Wulf.

Sean Dunn and Baja Rajan of Vision Critical both presented at Sydney, so I’ll also try to catch Scott Miller, Group CEO, and Ray Poynter, Director of Vision Critical University.
